So, for Christmas/Joe's birthday I bought everyone a Double-park Season Pass to White Water and Frontier City. It works great because the kids love both parks, I love White Water but really don't like Frontier City. Joe and Lisa love Frontier City but don't like water at all. So, anyway, the fun has begun.
Well, technically I took Alex and friends to White Water for his birthday last weekend. But it wasn't much fun for me. On every ride it seemed like there was someone who didn't want to go. So I'd send the others up and stay at the bottom with whoever didn't want to go. So, I got to ride one ride - the rapids - and that was it last weekend.
Today, I took Alex, Sarah and Meredith (a friend of Sarah's) to White Water. Sarah was cracking up at me. I was complaining that my knees were killing me the entire way up the steps, but the minute I got down to the bottom I was saying "Let's do that again! I want to go again!" I ended up doing 4 water slides and the rapids and the lazy river twice and the wave pool once. It was soooo much fun. The kids had fun too I suppose - but it was great for me to get to play.
As I was going down the first slide - which is the highest one there of course - I was literally giggling and laughing out loud. Then I started laughing at myself because I was laughing. I'm sure I looked goofy as all get out to anyone around me - but I was having so much fun I didn't care. I was actually sad to leave.
Good thing I got those season passes!! Hope the kids don't get tired of it or I'll just have to leave them at home!
Maybe next time I'll bring a water camera of some sorts so I can post pictures. Or gee - join the century and get a digital camera? Nah!
Off to go lay on the couch and eat cheetos while I ice my knees! And as a side note to those who know me - I actually was smart and wore sun screen! I'm not even a bit burned. See it only took me 40 years to figure out that trick!!

Sounds like a great time. Way to not act like a 40 year old!
Wait, if you're 40, that means it won't be much longer before I'm 30! Good thing I have Grandma's genes!
