Seriously??

Miniature dachshund gnaws off diabetic owner's toe

Apparently a woman was napping when her beloved dachshund gnawed off her big toe. Since she has diabetic neropathy she can't feel her toes. She woke from her nap missing her toe. She had to put her loving pup down for safety reasons ... have to protect the other 9 I guess!

Okay - for starters you wonder if it's possible that they're that numb. But ok - it's verified by a doc. But secondly - why would you call the local newspaper to tell them about it??? I guess for the fifteen minutes of fame - but seriously?!?
