... I may sleep all day tomorrow!
First, let's go back to Friday night. I was exhausted and fell asleep before Sarah even got home from the football game. Thankfully she did wake me up to say she was home and to ask me something ... since it wasn't anything like "can I take the car to montana" I guess I said yes. I remember her asking something, said yes, and went right back to sleep. So biggest thankful is that everyone was where they were supposed to be - sound asleep in bed - when I awoke at 8 to a very cranky Snickers.
I went to feed Patch for my folks who were visiting Joe and the kids. Got home and parked the car on the street. I was determined that this weekend we would clean out the garage. And we did! I got Sarah up around 11 - making her come help Alex and me. We pushed, pulled, dragged and carried everything out of the garage (except for the big table that has an aquarium on it. We swept, swept some more, dumped a lot of trash, swept some more, then brought in the leaf blower ... yeah, that was fun!
Then we put most of it all back in the garage. I do have a rather trashy looking pile of well trash at my corner. But I can pull my car in the garage and have room to spare on all sides. What a great feeling.
To reward the kids for their help - it did take over 3 hours - I took Sarah and friends to the mall and then I took Alex to Toys R Us. Funny side note about that - the OSU game had started so I was following the game on my palm while Alex browsed toys. I warned him that we were about to score (again) and he calmly said "Mom, try to refrain from screaming like a freak" - we ended up not scoring that time so no worries on the frightened children.
Got home in time to watch all the 2nd half. Yeah, then I screamed like I've not screamed in a LONG time. After it was over, Alex and I did the happy dance around the living room a couple times then paraded into Sarah's room and around her and her friends. Okay, so I was a bit excited - can you blame me?
I was exhausted after cleaning the garage - but of course, got wired beyond reason after the game. So - I decided to clean my room. Now, you have to understand - I may keep most of my house clean usually - but my room ... well, mom would have had so much piled on my bed I wouldn't have found it for days. So, after throwing away trash, making oh let's see - 4 piles of books (mom get ready for some reading) and tossing 2 laundry baskets of laundry into the hall - my room is ready to be vacuumed. Well, it was ready an hour ago. But since Alex fell asleep in my bed while I was cleaning - I didn't think he'd appreciate the vacuum.
Now, I feel really good about my room and my garage - only problem is I'm totally wired again. Oh well, such is life!
Have a good Sunday all - please don't call before noon!!!
